Community Parks

Inspired by the article of Beth Reinhard.

For Children.

On any village, town, or county, there will always be children from newborn to teens who would expect a play area near their home. It becomes an afternoon routine to leave the corners of the house and go to the swings and the slides, the sandbox and the grasses and the water fountains to have fun. They look forward to that time of day for meeting playmates and playing games. Parks for children are a second home. The moments spent become memories in their later years.

For Families.

Not only is it a place for the community’s little darlings, but also an area of recreation for families. The barbecue picnics encourage interaction and quality time spent between kids, moms and dads, and relatives, and even friends. It’s a change of atmosphere from the daily space of home, and more room for running and playing, reading and basking under the sun. An ideal Sunday afternoon treat for dear loved ones.

For Neighborhood Residents

It is a common ground for people living in the unit area to get to know one another, and possibly be friends. This is a good move for safety because everyone would know everyone, and could warn each other for dangerous strangers. Together they can come up with activities and events to encourage development and communication within their community.

For Health & Green Environment

The park becomes a hub for a healthy lifestyle. It becomes a sports venue and a zone for biking, skating, jogging, and walking habits. The fresh green grass and trees in the park provides positive flow of oxygen as it enlivens nature throughout the place.

All in all, the community park gives more benefits than budget hassles in the residential vicinity within the city or town. The money allotted to keep the parks alive would be worth it for the children, the families, and the people who use it for healthier relationships and lifestyles. Closing it down should never be an option.
